Wow—100 posts! I can hardly believe it. It feels surreal to be here, celebrating this milestone with you all. Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you’re a long-time reader, a curious newcomer, or someone who stumbled upon this space accidentally but decided to stay. I’m so glad you’re here.
Thanks + Gratitude
First and foremost, I want to thank my family and friends for being my biggest cheerleaders, both online and offline. Your support means the world to me. To my internet friends, readers, and supporters: I don’t know how you found me, but I’m incredibly grateful that you did. You’ve made this platform more than just a creative outlet—you’ve made it a community.
This milestone isn’t just about me hitting post 100 times. It’s about the connections I’ve made, the stories we’ve shared, and the conversations we’ve had along the way.
The Evolution
When I started this Substack, my goal was simple: prove to myself that I could commit to posting one written newsletter every week. I wanted to express my creative side, share my love of books, and maybe sprinkle in some stories, recommendations, and random musings.
But over time, this platform became something more. It’s been my space to explore creativity, process life’s highs and lows, and develop my voice as a writer. It’s where I’ve processed grief, reflected on childhood events, zoomed out to identify what really matters in life, and laughed at the absurdity of it all (crazy neighbors included).
This newsletter has been a place for deep dives and light-hearted moments, from book recs and roundups to product reviews and personal essays. It’s evolved in ways I didn’t expect, and I’m so proud of what it’s become.
Lessons Learned
Through this journey, I’ve learned so much—not just about writing, but about myself:
Consistency matters. Showing up every week, even when I didn’t feel “inspired,” taught me the power of dedication.
Creativity is healing. Writing has helped me process grief, grapple with self-doubt, and lean into joy.
Community is everything. Your feedback, comments, and engagement have been a reminder that storytelling isn’t just a solo act—it’s a dialogue.
I’ve also realized that this is just the beginning. My dream of becoming a NYT bestselling author is still alive and well, but I know that reaching that goal will require even more hard work, resilience, and courage.
Moving Forward
Looking ahead to 2025, I want to step out of my comfort zone and take even bolder creative risks. These past couple of years, I’ve been stuck in my head—planning endlessly but hesitating to act. Next year, I’m flipping the script.
More action, less overthinking. No more being a prisoner of my own mind.
Putting myself out there. Sharing more of my creative projects, experimenting with new formats, and leaning into my most authentic self.
Staying true to my why. My ultimate goal is to inspire, resonate, and entertain—to create a space where we can all grow, laugh, and heal together.
This video is part of that journey. It’s a big leap for me to post something so personal online for the world to see, but I’m choosing to embrace the challenge.
the highlight reel (aka my favorites)
Thank you, again, for being here. For reading, watching, and sharing this journey with me. Here’s to 100 posts—and to the next 100, and beyond!
Let’s make 2025 the year of courage, creativity, and connection.
